Kaynchi Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Kaynchi. They apply when you use the Kaynchi app, the Kaynchi Pro app or the website kaynchi.org (together, the "Platform"). Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Payments & Fees page. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Kaynchi is a partnership firm registered in Karachi, Pakistan, between Farrukh Adil Malik and Fahad Adil Malik ("Kaynchi", "we", "us", "our").
Address: 28 Maqboolabad Society, Road 3, Block 3, Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan
Email: support@kaynchi.org
- Customer: a person who uses the Kaynchi app to find and book hair and beauty services.
- Artist: an individual hair and beauty professional who offers services through the Kaynchi Pro app.
- Studio: a salon or business that offers services through the Kaynchi Pro app.
- Professional: an Artist or a Studio.
- Service: a hair, beauty or grooming service listed by a Professional.
- Booking: a request by a Customer for a Service at a chosen date and time, at the Customer's location ("at-home") or at the Studio.
- Travel Fee: the amount a Professional charges for travelling to a Customer for an at-home Booking.
- Platform Fee: the fee a Professional owes Kaynchi for each completed Booking, as described in Section 8.
Kaynchi is a marketplace. We provide the technology that lets Customers find and book Professionals. We do not provide hair, beauty or grooming services ourselves.
- Professionals are independent. They are not our employees, agents or partners, and they decide how to provide their Services.
- The contract for a Service is between the Customer and the Professional. The Professional is responsible for the quality, safety and legality of the Service.
- We verify Professionals' identity documents before they are approved, but verification does not guarantee a Professional's skill, conduct or the result of a Service.
4. Eligibility and accounts
- Customers must be at least 13 years old. If you are 13 to 17, you may only use the Platform with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use.
- Professionals must be at least 18 years old and legally able to provide their Services in Pakistan.
- You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You may sign up with your email or with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your login details secret and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at support@kaynchi.org if you think someone else has accessed it.
- One person may only have one Customer account. A Professional may also have a separate Customer account.
- We may refuse, suspend or close any account as described in Section 15.
5.1 How booking works
- A Customer chooses a Service, a Professional, a date and time slot, and whether the Service is at-home or at the Studio.
- The Professional accepts or declines the Booking in the Kaynchi Pro app. Booking requests that are not answered in time may be cancelled automatically.
- Once accepted, both sides can see the Booking details in their app.
- For at-home Bookings, the Professional travels to the Customer's address. While the Professional is on the way, the Customer can see their live location in the app.
- After the Service, the Professional marks the Booking as completed and the Customer pays the Professional (see Section 7).
5.2 Prices
- Professionals set their own prices and Travel Fees. The price, Travel Fee and any discount are shown before you confirm a Booking and appear on the Booking receipt.
- The price you agree to in the app is the price you pay. Professionals must not ask Customers to pay more than the amount shown, unless the Customer agrees to extra Services at the appointment.
5.3 Customers' responsibilities
- Give an accurate address and be available at the booked time.
- For at-home Bookings, provide a safe and suitable space for the Service.
- Tell the Professional about any allergies, skin conditions or other health matters that could affect the Service. Professionals may refuse a Service they believe is unsafe.
- Treat Professionals with respect.
5.4 Professionals' responsibilities
- Keep your profile, Services, prices, Travel Fee and availability accurate.
- Arrive on time, provide Services with reasonable skill and care, and follow good hygiene practices, including clean tools and products.
- Hold any licences or permissions required for your Services and pay any taxes due on your income.
- Treat Customers, their homes and their property with respect.
6. Cancellations, no-shows and disputes
- Cancellations: Customers and Professionals can cancel a Booking in the app. We currently do not charge cancellation or no-show fees. We may introduce a cancellation policy in future and will tell you before it applies.
- Repeated cancellations or no-shows may lead to warnings or suspension of an account.
- Disputes: if something goes wrong with a Booking, report it in the app or email support@kaynchi.org as soon as possible, ideally within 24 hours of the Booking. We will review the information from both sides and may cancel the Booking, adjust the Platform Fee, or resolve the matter directly with you. Our decision on how a dispute is handled on the Platform is final, but it does not affect any legal rights you have against the other party.
- Kaynchi is currently cash only. Customers pay the Professional directly in cash after the Service. The bill is the Service price, less any discount, plus any Travel Fee and Sindh Sales Tax (SST), as shown in the app and on the receipt. Full details are on our Payments & Fees page.
- Kaynchi does not collect, hold or transfer Customers' money. We do not offer an in-app wallet, card payments or online payments at this time.
- Kaynchi does not charge Customers a booking fee.
- If we introduce online payments in future, we will publish separate terms before they apply.
- For each completed Booking, Kaynchi charges the Professional a Platform Fee (commission, shown as "Service Fee"), which is a percentage of the Service price. The Platform Fee does not apply to the Travel Fee. Current rates are shown on our Payments & Fees page and in the Kaynchi Pro app.
- Professionals can download a payout summary (sales tax invoice) showing the Platform Fee, any discounts funded by Kaynchi, Sindh Sales Tax (SST) and the resulting balance. Once the Platform Fee is being collected, Professionals must pay any amount owed using the payment method we tell them, within the time we set, and if Kaynchi-funded discounts are larger than the Platform Fee, Kaynchi will pay the difference to the Professional.
- Introductory period: Kaynchi does not currently collect the Platform Fee. The payout summary shows it for information only. Collection will start only when Kaynchi introduces online payments, with at least 14 days' notice. During the introductory period, discounts are not reimbursed by Kaynchi, as explained on the Payments & Fees page.
- If a Professional does not pay, we may restrict or suspend their account until the amount is paid.
- We may change the Platform Fee or how it is calculated by giving Professionals at least 14 days' notice. Changes do not apply to Bookings already completed.
9. Promo codes, deals and referrals
- Kaynchi and Professionals may offer promo codes, deals and referral discounts. Each offer has its own conditions, such as an expiry date, minimum spend or limit on use, which are shown in the app.
- Who funds a discount (Kaynchi or the Professional) is explained on the Payments & Fees page.
- Promo codes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and may be withdrawn if they are misused.
- Referrals: when you invite a friend who joins Kaynchi, you and your friend may each receive a discount on a future Booking. We may change or end the referral programme at any time, and we may cancel rewards obtained through fake accounts or abuse.
10. Safety and conduct
All users must:
- Not harass, threaten, abuse, discriminate against or behave inappropriately towards anyone.
- Not use the Platform for anything illegal, fraudulent or harmful.
- Not ask for, offer or provide any service that is not a genuine hair, beauty or grooming service.
- Not misuse another person's personal information, including addresses and phone numbers shared for a Booking.
The app includes a panic contact feature for emergencies. In an emergency, always contact the police (15) or emergency services directly as well.
If you feel unsafe, leave the situation and report it to us at support@kaynchi.org. We may suspend accounts while we investigate.
11. Reviews and ratings
- Customers may review and rate a Professional after a Booking. Reviews must be honest, based on a genuine experience and must not contain offensive or personal information.
- Professionals must not post reviews of themselves, offer anything in exchange for reviews, or pressure Customers to change a review.
- We may remove reviews that break these rules, but we do not edit reviews to change their meaning.
- You keep ownership of the photos, portfolio images, text and other content you upload ("Your Content").
- You give Kaynchi a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display and copy Your Content on the Platform and in Kaynchi's promotion of the Platform (for example, showing a portfolio photo on our social media), for as long as it is on the Platform.
- You must have the right to upload Your Content. Do not upload content that belongs to someone else, or photos of Customers without their permission.
- We may remove content that breaks these Terms or the law.
You must not:
- Create fake accounts, impersonate anyone or give false information.
- Copy, scrape, reverse engineer or interfere with the Platform or its security.
- Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited messages.
- Try to avoid the Platform Fee, for example by arranging Bookings with Customers you met on Kaynchi outside the Platform.
- Use the Platform in a way that breaks any law of Pakistan.
The Kaynchi name, logo, apps, website and their design and content (other than Your Content) belong to Kaynchi. You may use the Platform only as these Terms allow and may not use our name or logo without our written permission.
15. Suspension and closing accounts
- You can close your account at any time from the app's Settings, through our account deletion page or by emailing us. Professionals must still pay any Platform Fee already owed.
- We may suspend or close an account, remove a listing or cancel Bookings if we reasonably believe a user has broken these Terms, provided false information, failed to pay Platform Fees, received serious complaints, or put anyone at risk. Where appropriate, we will tell you why.
16. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- The Platform is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free or secure.
- Because Services are provided by independent Professionals, Kaynchi is not responsible for the quality, safety or result of any Service, or for any loss, injury or damage caused by a Professional or a Customer. Any claim about a Service should be made against the person who provided or received it, although we will help where we reasonably can.
- To the extent the law allows, Kaynchi's total liability to you for any claim related to the Platform is limited to the greater of (a) the Platform Fees you paid to Kaynchi in the 6 months before the claim, or (b) PKR 10,000.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to compensate Kaynchi for any claims, losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise because you broke these Terms, broke the law, or caused harm to another user or third party through your use of the Platform.
If you downloaded our apps from the Apple App Store or Google Play:
- These Terms are between you and Kaynchi, not Apple or Google. Kaynchi, not Apple or Google, is responsible for the apps and their content.
- Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the apps.
- You must also follow the app store's own terms of use.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If a disagreement arises, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If it cannot be resolved, the courts of Karachi, Sindh will have exclusive jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above, and if the changes are significant we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you continue to use the Platform after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
